This is a reversible batik cardigan made using batikTEKTURA’s original batik for the outer layer and cotton-blend fabric for the inner layer. The seams are hidden so that both sides can be worn making it a versatile casual wear. The cardigan is meant to be worn oversized. Batik fabric is produced in Selangor, using batik terap (handblocked) techniques.

Fabric design: Sulur  – The Sulur motif was designed by Dr. Mimi Zaleha as a creative exploration on Bauhaus architecture style, known for its simplicity, timelessness and precision. 

While we strive for colour consistency for these handmade items, some colour variations from fabric to fabric will occur. This arises as the fabrics are handmade by artisans and dried in the natural sunlight. Hence, a range of factors may affect its final colour, e.g. humidity in the air, level of sunlight during the drying process, slight variations in dye mixtures etc.
